JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The main purpose of this role will be: To provide a forward–looking planning function for all products that: Maximises our Shipping Performance and achieves our On–time Delivery Goals Exceeds our Customers expectations Drives Continuous improvement Interacts between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions This role requires effective interaction with Team Leaders to ensure On–time Delivery Ensures that all processes and procedures are adhered to KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The main requirements and employee accountabilities are: Be involved in Order Input Control Process – Liaise with Sales on delivery dates, agree delivery dates prior to Order Input Take Ownership of, and plan all products through Manufacturing Cells Maximise use of the order management system and ensure visibility of all orders Identify critical items and issues, and resolve them Cross–functional communication and co–ordination to minimise delays Investigate available capacity vs. likely load Produce and publish metrics as required Support function for team members in production and purchasing during absences ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The essential skills/experience required for this role are: Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential Engineering competence in relation to machining and assembly and a suitable level of product and organisational familiarisation is a distinct advantage The ability to make decisions within guidelines and take responsibility for these is essential The ability to meet time frames and work under pressure is important ERP planning experience is essential Drive and Enthusiasm are pre–requisite DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The skills and experience we would like the employee in this role to have are: 5+ years Production Planning system experience Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is an advantage Previous exposure working in a manufacturing and assembly organisation Good analytical and numeracy skills Strong systems and excel knowledge Knowledge of supply chain QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable Qualifications: Qualified to ONC/HNC level in Engineering/Manufacturing or relevant planning/purchasing professional qualification. PERSONAL QUALITIES/ATTRIBUTES
