In our major projects function within Nuclear & Power, we are looking for a planner who can fulfil the following responsibilities:

Prepare project schedules - build and maintain a baseline schedule identifying critical path, resources, work breakdown structure, milestones, coding and document this in a Basis of Schedule. Participate and chair interactive planning workshops ensuring comprehensive schedules are developed using best practice and benchmarking data. Ensure all activities are logic linked and aligned with the project deliverables, project execution plan and contracting strategy. Update the schedule progress in accordance with processes and procedures validating the work completed. Identify and explain variances between current schedule, plan, earned value and forecasts and communicate these clearly to the project team. These will include key performance indicators such as Earned Value, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index. Work alongside the cost controller to identify key variances between the schedule and the costs. Work with the project team to identify resources and man hours required to complete the project activities and keep these updated throughout the project, working alongside the cost controller. Prepare project reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis and lead progress communications and update meetings.
