Your new company is recruiting a Planner to join their Belfast team. The company is a specialist Facades Contractor based in Belfast, with a considerable head count across multiple countries. They are one of the leading UK-based design, manufacture, and installers of architectural glazing systems, providing various external façade services to many market-leading European and UK-based contractors in the construction sector. You will join the company as their lead Planner, taking full responsibility for accurate forecasting and programming of live sites across the business’s portfolio. Your new role is a newly created position within the business, bringing the planning function in-house where you will report directly to the Technical Director. You will play an integral role in the success of each project and the business. The company is accommodating to a variety of software from MS Project, Asta Powerproject, or even P6 Primavera (currently using MS Project). This role will be based solely in the Belfast office with seldom site visits to UK projects and will take control of all programming across 7-8 live projects ranging in value from £500k to £4 million. Tender programmes will be limited due to many repeat clients, and you will work closely with site, design, and procurement teams across the business. Some responsibilities will include: Report against master programme to site teams and senior management. Modify programmes to mitigate against delays and carry out forecasts. Assist in the preparation of project logistics and method statements, improving timelines. Review key projects to ensure programme compliance and methodologies. What you'll need to succeed: Experience in Construction Planning is required, and you must be able to demonstrate capabilities in creating and maintaining accurate programmes using either MS Project, Asta, or Primavera software. Ideally, you will have some experience in Facades or Specialist trades; however, those coming from a main contracting background will also be ideal. This role is open to all types of backgrounds such as degree qualified or trades people who have planning experience. This role is based in their Belfast office, so you must be mutable to their location and won’t require travel thereafter. What you'll get in return: Offering a competitive package, you will have the chance to work for a specialist contractor with a consistent track record of delivering high-quality and bespoke projects to their client base. With a growing team and a welcoming atmosphere, you will benefit from continued training and development as well as playing a key role within the business. With extremely limited travel required, you will be financially rewarded with a competitive salary based on your experience that could go as high as £55,000 + standard benefits including holidays and pension.
