Planning & Resource Manager

to join us at our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will work alongside the Operations Manager to take ownership of workflow requirements across the site, ensuring that all areas of the operation are suitably resourced and contingencies are in place to manage any spikes in volume. This is a full time, permanent position. You’ll be working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern and your hours of work will need to be flexible over both the days and afternoon shifts – this is logistics after all! £42,000 - £47,000

What you’ll do on a typical day: Create a planning model which enables the site to deliver to forecasted demands and exceed current service level agreements, building in the appropriate KPI methodology to suggest future headcount requirements and recruitment and resource planning. Build positive relationships with stakeholders on site and across the B&Q contract, ensure good quality communication with the customer directly and deliver any agreed actions to keep the operation efficient. Analyse and investigate any potential issues throughout the end-to-end customer journey and identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining processes. Complete data analysis and generate management reports, identifying opportunities to make operational efficiencies - assist with subsequent project launch activities and plans, ensuring that business teams are aligned and communication is clear and effective. What you need to succeed at GXO: Previous experience creating planning models and delivering to forecasted demands within a large logistics & warehouse environment. Highly analytical with an action orientated approach, strong levels of ownership. Can thrive under time constraints and works well under tight deadlines.
