Planning Policy Manager Governance and Community Services Full Time - 37 Hours per week, Permanent Contract Salary Range: £50,753 to £55,393 per annum plus annual car allowance £2,907 Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Are you a planner and manager that wants to lead on the creation of the new Rother Local Plan and help to lead the Council’s spatial ambitions? This is your opportunity to make your mark, to deliver a local plan to shape the future of Rother. We have just completed Reg 18 Plan consultation and want to drive forward a planned future. As well as Planning Policy and plan making, you will also be responsible for Developer Contributions, Design and Ecology – the management of important levers to aid the realisation and delivery of sustainable development. This is an exciting time to join the team with a new leadership team, structure and Head of Planning Service. If at this time of change, you are a collaborative, supportive leader that will drive positive change, in collaboration with your team, peers and stakeholders, this is the role for you. As the Planning Policy Manager you will: Lead the local plan; Be a key member of the Planning Service leadership team; Play a key role in enabling the organisation and district to achieve its ambitions for the place; Manage Developer Contributions, Design and Ecology functions; Be supported by, and support, a well-resourced Planning Policy team. You will be an RTPI professional with a track record of collaborative working and managing planning officers. Why come to Rother?
