Planning & Scheduling Manager

to join them in an on site role. This position would suit someone with proven experience of managing high volume projects. Someone with a track record of finding efficiencies, streamlining processes and cost saving. Main Tasks

Leading and managing the scheduling of all our client studies. Complex planning will be required to ensure that multiple ongoing projects meet our client deadlines and to a high standard. You will be functioning independently as our primary project co-ordinator for resourcing all activities related to client programs. Requiring you to utilise excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues of all levels, across multiple departments and sites. You will be overseeing our capacity to ensure effective scheduling with thorough understanding of appropriate project management software. Independently manages project resourcing, adapting plans as required. Efficiently schedules all client projects to ensure milestones are met. Develops solutions to complex scheduling challenges. May refer to established precedents and policies but also needs to lead, identify and implement improvement processes (e.g. streamline procedures and maximise capacity). Demonstrates an understanding of project management/resourcing issues affecting the business, including mitigating risk associated with project resources. Input data to Scheduling Tools to generate accurate reporting on project activities. Keeps stakeholders informed and engaged. Interacts with internal personnel on scheduling requiring coordination between multiple departments and sites. Complies with CRL site-based guidelines. Reports project management based QMS events and steers/leads the resulting actions. Complete understanding and application of CRL principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Skills and Experience

Project/resource management experience of multiple projects with various moving parts and different timelines. Previous extensive resource management/leadership experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent scheduling and organisational skills, efficient multi-tasking, great communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently, ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines, proactive self-starter. Experienced in coordinating work across sites/departments. Comfortable challenging standard processes and continually developing them. Financial understanding/awareness. Good presentation skills. Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Good problem-solving skills. Previous experience of using scheduling tools. It would be advantageous, but not essential if you have: A BSc in a relevant discipline. Experience in scientific industry (e.g. Pharma, Biotech, CRO). Previous experience of Kantata or Smartsheet.
