As a Planning Solicitor, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support on a variety of planning and environmental issues. You will work with a range of clients including landowners, property developers, charities, educational institutions, property investors, financial entities, businesses, and private individuals. The teams’ work encompasses a broad spectrum of planning matters, including but not limited to:
Drafting and negotiating planning agreements (e.g., Section 106).
Providing expert legal guidance on planning regulations and compliance.
Handling applications for certificates of lawfulness.
Advising on rights of way and highway-related issues.
Managing waste and mineral applications.
Representing clients in appeals, judicial and statutory reviews.
Supporting clients through compulsory purchase orders (CPO) and enforcement actions.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in planning law, with exposure to a wide range of planning and environmental matters.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, particularly with planning agreements.
Strong analytical abilities, with a focus on providing clear, practical advice.
Effective communication skills, capable of building strong client relationships.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
