Reporting Directly to: Head of Commercial Head of HSEQ Fleet Manager Responsibilities: Direct, coordinate, plan, and oversee transport activities within the organisation. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company targets. Develop and implement a preventative maintenance programme for the fleet. Manage the vehicle management system, including vehicle checks and maintenance records. Hire specialist vehicles as required. Ensure all vehicles are insured, taxed, and have valid MOTs. Organise specialist vehicle inspections (e.g., LOLER). Assist with placement of company vehicles. Manage vehicle services, MOTs, repairs, and maintenance. Work with suppliers for repair and maintenance deals. Manage new fleet requests and vehicle handovers. Oversee vehicle off-hire and on-hire processes. Collaborate with Procurement on off-hire charges and repair costs. Install and manage vehicle tracking systems. Conduct weekly vehicle checks and monitor fleet condition. Resolve transport-related issues. Maintain compliance records and liaise with drivers regarding updates. Support vehicle and driver management. Collaborate on O licence with HSE/Commercial. Ensure driver and operator records are current. Conduct RTI investigations and liaise with HSE. Identify non-compliance activities and escalate to management. Ensure compliance of delivery paperwork and documentation. Keep asset registers up to date. Plant Manager Responsibilities: Manage hiring and off-hiring of plant for projects. Oversee plant hire, invoicing queries, and damage assessments. Obtain quotes to support procurement. Assist with purchasing company-owned plant, tagging, and issuing. Ensure plant is operational and organise repairs as needed. What we need from you: Full UK driving licence. Proven track record in fleet management, including specialist vehicles. Strong knowledge of plant and equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong team building, organisational, and motivational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs.
