The Plant Controller plays a pivotal role within the Business Unit Finance team, holding comprehensive responsibility for the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow of the respective plant. Additionally, this role involves close business partnering with the plant manager to ensure financial alignment and strategic decision-making. As the leader of all financial matters within the plant, the Plant Controller ensures financial integrity and accuracy, providing valuable insights and analysis to drive the plant's financial performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly Reporting:
Oversight of month-end closing. Implementation of BU guidelines. Review of the monthly financials of the plant. Comment on plant results – providing full insight into variances. Report to BU in monthly plant calls. Lead monthly reporting reviews with the plant management team. Plant Business Partnering:
Main finance contact for the plant manager. Supported by BSC / Sales Controlling / Manufacturing Controlling. Lead all financial matters within the plant, including controlling, budgeting, CAPEX, investment appraisal, OCF, and cost reduction strategies. Responsible for variance analyses, including identification of business and cost trends and recommendations for cost management, operational changes, etc. Budgeting, Forecasting & Controlling:
Delivering annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and controlling of the actual accounts for the plant. Management of all plants and entities in scope with the team to ensure reporting completeness in HFM. Review complete budgets and forecasts; analyze and discuss greater deviations. EDUCATION & TRAINING:
University degree in Business / Finance or equivalent. Accounting qualification or equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE:
5 years of controlling experience, preferably in a manufacturing company with full P&L responsibility. COMPETENCIES:
ERP skills (SAP experience, HFM). Sound understanding of complex manufacturing environments. Detailed costing understanding. Self-managed team player. Strong business acumen and decision-making skills. Ability to deal with multiple deliverables. Accuracy. BRINGING YOUR TRUE SELF TO WORK
