£35,000 - £40,000 basic, plus overtime Benefits: 23 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays Pension Career Progression Training and Development My client is looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter / Plant Technician / Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Mechanical Engineer with a passion for keeping plant and construction equipment running and ready for customers to use. As the Fitter, you will be responsible for inspecting machinery and undertaking servicing as well as maintenance on the product range. My client is a plant hire specialist and is proud to provide solutions to clients across London and the surrounding counties. With over 40 years of experience, they have developed a reputation for offering exceptional plant, access equipment, tools, and training - ideal for projects of all sizes. Basic Job Duties: Service and maintenance of all company plant & machinery assets. Ensure timely repairs to minimise downtime. Dismantling and repairing or replacing faulty components. Defect inspections and diagnostic reporting. Keeping the workshop clean and tidy. This list isn't exhaustive; you may be called upon for additional duties as needed. Required: NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent and previous experience in plant maintenance. Experience in diagnostic and repairing plant, construction, and lifting equipment. Ability to excel under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work under your own initiative and possess strong organisational skills. Manufacturer training for industry products would be an advantage. IPAF 3a, 3b or 1b certification would be an added benefit, but my client is happy to put you through training.
