Plant Service Manager

Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 + Package
We are currently looking for a Plant Service Manager / Supervisor on behalf of a well-respected Plant Hire company that has been thriving for over 50 years. The Service Manager position will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the depot, managing a team of people including plant maintenance fitters and transport delivery drivers.
The role would suit somebody wanting to progress from a foreman/fitter position into the next tier of management.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day running of the workshop Responsible for depot transport compliance Ensuring workshop administration work is completed, signed off, and filed in a timely manner Ensuring safe working practices are maintained at all times Processing customer damage/loss notifications Cost control and achieving Depot KPI's Coordinating a team of maintenance fitters to ensure assets are maintained as per our internal procedures Ensuring servicing and preventative maintenance of plant assets is conducted in line with company procedures Conducting regular in-house checks to maintain health & safety compliance
About you: Must have hands-on plant fitting experience and be happy to get your hands dirty as and when needed Highly motivated Organised Good communicator Ability to work as a part of a team Flexibility to manage and work with other members of staff including apprentices Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Excel & Word Full UK driving license
