Plant Operator

to join our production team in Glasgow. Your main responsibilities in this role will be to ensure delivery of product quality in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner, through effective execution of the company policies and procedures. The role covers operational activities, in-process monitoring and housekeeping all areas of the site; from raw material intake through to product packaging plants, including the stock yard and packaging warehouse. We look forward to meeting you! Responsibilities:

Takes ownership for in-process monitoring and housekeeping all areas of the site; from raw material intake through to product packaging plants, including the stock yard and packaging warehouse. Takes ownership for final/repacked product sampling, re-sampling, packaging, weight checks, labelling, storage and manages unused raw materials, disposes of waste at the end of the production run, as well as for recording stock information (packed and reprocessed). Takes ownership for the transportation of product between warehouses, waste to skips and checks on FLTs including fuel levels. Takes ownership for intake of raw materials and packaging materials. Ensures all production equipment is operated according to OEM specifications and ensures the highest safety and quality standards are met at all times. Takes ownership for the execution of equipment setup by following procedures to prepare systems for operation. Be responsible for ensuring safe working on site and that all agreed requirements of health, safety and environment are met. Be responsible for ensuring all work has a quality focus and that all agreed requirements for quality are met. Minimum Requirements:

Able to work shifts in accordance with shift pattern. High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2-4 years of chemical operational experience is preferred. Forklift License. Production machinery, operational knowledge: ability to understand the mechanical and operational requirements for all NORIT production equipment. Attention to detail and problem solving skills. Physical strength and stamina: to execute the operational requirements of the role. Communication skills and ability to work in a team, as well as good time management skills and flexibility.
