Smarter farming for a better New Zealand About the Role Due to internal movement, we are looking for a Plant Operator to join the team at our Awatoto Works site in Napier where we manufacture, process and despatch fertiliser. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you'll ensure the safe, effective operation of the manufacture plant to achieve planned production levels. By keeping machinery running at optimum levels - and safely - we're best placed to help our farmers/shareholders and you're best placed for a rewarding job with great scope for growth. Key Responsibilities Operating the plant and ensuring that this is completed efficiently and within documented procedures. Ensure all plant is maintained and in excellent condition. Work with the wider team to ensure the site and plant is environmentally compliant by minimising spills and waste. About You Given the work environment and nature of the role, it's essential you're physically fit, and mechanically minded. Ideally, you'll be comfortable at the controls of a forklift, but if not, we can provide the training to get you there if you have a positive, can-do attitude. To be successful in the role, you will ideally: Be flexible in your ability to work alternating shift patterns, including nightshift. Possess manufacturing or process plant experience. Enjoy working as part of a team. Be physically fit. Be mechanically minded. Good communication skills. Have a reasonable level of computer literacy. Full driver's license. Desirable skills and experiences Mobile plant driving experience, F & W endorsements. OSH Forklift certificate. Experience being a Permit to work issuer. Hold a Working at Heights certification and/or a Confined Spaces certification. Benefits Medical insurance. 5% Superannuation. Ongoing training & development.
