Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with Granville Eco Park (Bio Capital Group), a key company driving towards our net zero targets and leaders in the development and operation of Anaerobic Digestion plants. Granville Eco Park is one of the largest Biogas plants in Northern-Ireland producing biomethane among other assets in their renewable energy portfolio.

We are looking to crew up a number of Plant Operators to join their plant in Dungannon, to support site operations and daily running of the waste to energy plant.

The Plant Operator comes with a basic salary of £29,746 - £33,000 (DOE), offering excellent further training and development opportunities and great company benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties Reporting to the Site Manager you will: Carry out daily operation of anaerobic digestion plant, with full training provided for those newer to the sector. Perform routine checks of the asset and relevant documentation. Carry out basic, first line maintenance activities, such as greasing and cleaning of the equipment. Look for continuous improvement opportunities on site. Test the biology of the plant to optimise gas yield, with training provided. Assist any contractors on site carrying out key work. Engage in continuous learning of process and running the plant via a SCADA system (training provided). Carry out weighbridge and waste acceptance responsibilities as required. Keep the site clean and tidy to support health and safety and environmental standards. Perform other duties as required.

Professional Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Maintenance or plant operating experience preferred, or demonstrable experience of work of a similar nature. Basic computer literacy. Experience operating telehandler/forklift is desirable.

Personal Skills The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is: A genuine interest in agriculture, process plants, and in being hands-on. Very happy to work outside. Comfortable around potentially smelly waste at times.

Salary and Benefits of the Plant Operator Role £29,746 - £33,000 (DOE) starting salary, with structured progression. 4 on 4 off days and nights working pattern.
