permanent full-time Plant Superintendent
for our Kemerton Chlor Alkali team business based at Kemerton, Western Australia. As the Plant Superintendent, you will be accountable for the successful coordination of the production and laboratory teams. This will require a hands-on management approach to ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the Chlor Alkali plant. The position The core responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Driving all aspects of site safety from the process to the individual; Controlling the day-to-day running of the plant to ensure products are made safely, efficiently, reliably, and sufficiently by monitoring plant performance and making decisions on the operational and maintenance activities to be conducted; Collaborating with internal and external resources to develop and train staff; Ensuring adequate resourcing through management of shift rosters and scheduling staff leave; Deputising for the Plant Manager in their absence in all operational matters. The successful candidate We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has: Demonstrated substantial experience as an operations leader in a continuous chemical manufacturing environment; Advanced communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) and sound computer skills, specifically MS Word and Excel; Proven ability to ensure work carried out complies to all appropriate safety systems and regulations; Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems, especially those of a process nature; Well-developed negotiation, time management and organisational skills; While a tertiary qualification in engineering or applied science is desirable, extensive relevant experience in a chemical processing environment will be equally regarded.
