My client in the South Yorkshire area on Doncaster is looking for time-served Plater/Welders.
Duties of the Role
Fabricate and assemble metal components based on engineering drawings and specifications. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld materials effectively. Perform welding with precision and expertise. Work on heavy gauge steel. Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, following all safety guidelines. Collaborate with your teammates to solve challenges and improve processes. Apply basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during tasks.
Experience Required
Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or a related field (preferred). Strong welding skills, particularly in MIG welding (essential). Solid mechanical knowledge and confidence in using various tools. Familiarity with fabrication and assembly techniques (a bonus!). Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
