Infinigate Cloud are seeking a talented and motivated Platform Engineer to join their successful Digital Platforms team. This role shares responsibility with two other team members to support in delivering and expanding a secure, resilient and performant platform using the latest technologies, integrating with key internal and external systems and with partners and vendors. This could be an ideal growth opportunity for an excellent Junior Platform Engineer with a honed skillset that could add value to the success of our platform and team! Please note, this is a full-time hybrid position, based at our offices in Fareham. This role may require some out of hours commitment following an initial training period. Hybrid expectations for our teams are 3 days in office, 2 working from home. Duties & Responsibilities

Support the infrastructure management and upgrades, including but not limited to performance, capacity management, adherence to SLA’s, platform/kernel upgrades, hotfixes and APS installations to assist in delivering improved capabilities of the platform(s). Assist in identifying problems and performance trends, escalating to the relevant engineers where appropriate, supporting in providing solutions and suggesting continuous improvement ideas. Aid the Product Team with plan creation and design for Odin 6.0, Odin 8.3 and subsequent CloudBlue Commerce versions to help enable the Product Team to deliver functioning and saleable services/offers. Provide support with designs and planning the expansion and transition to a microservices architecture enabling performance, security, and scalability. Proactively work with the wider teams across the business to ensure successful triage and resolution against incidents. Support the development and enablement of your co-workers in team related tasks. Actively support the team and interact with relevant vendors of products in triage against Incidents and deployments. Any other duties as required. General Skills Requirements

2+ years’ experience in cloud/virtual infrastructure management. An understanding and knowledge of cloud computing and the key drivers of commercial success. Able to nurture strong business relationships, to meet and exceed customer expectations. Strong verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to communicate on all levels. Ability to work in a structured way and engage with multiple stakeholders to resolve issues. Driving License and the ability to travel. (Desirable) technical knowledge across a range of cloud technologies including Linux, Azure, Microservices, Containerization, Serverless, Office 365, SQL, PostgreSQL, API’s, Power Platform including Power Automate, Power BI and PowerApps. UP to £35,000 – £40,000 salary per annum. 25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with length of service, plus bank holidays. Day off on your birthday.
