We are looking for a

Platform Operations Engineer

to innovate, win and grow with us in

Theale !

As Platform Operations Engineer, you'll play a key role in building out the platform capabilities in Bottomline. In strong collaboration with your team members, you will be expected to deliver technical, process and organisational changes, as well as improvements in line with the strategy and vision of our product development and operations group.

How you’ll contribute

Alerting and monitoring

Configure and review alerting to ensure rapid notification and resolution of incidents.

Setup dashboard to facilitate the monitoring of our solutions and services.

Platform change

Configure and deliver new services on the platform.

Create, validate and update runbooks for standard changes.

Platform automation

Think of smart ways to reduce our manual work.

Product collaboration

Collaborate with our product team for new services design.

Provide feedback to our product team on possible improvements.

Platform availability

Develop availability and uptime reporting.

Drive improvements in platform uptime.

Platform Incident Recovery

Service restoration during incidents.

Create, validate and update service recovery runbooks.

Collaborate with application experts to deliver processes that facilitate “one-click” service recovery capabilities.

Always Available Platform

Participate in the out of hours “on call” rota to ensure industry-leading incident response is in place for production issues that may arise.

What will make you successful?

Formal training in Computer Science or IT.

Server administration experience on Windows Server and Linux environments.

Hands-on experience with tools such as Gitlab, BitBucket and Kubernetes.

Experience configuring monitoring tools such as ELK, APM, Grafana.

Having already implemented alerts.

Experience working with API technologies.

Comfortable with documentation.

A strong desire to work in a technical environment.

Ability to learn quickly (esp. in a technical environment).

SWIFT operations knowledge.

Payment industry knowledge.

Experience working with SQL and SQL Server.

Ability to write automated scripts.
