Playball Coach - Reigate & Redhill

Playball are the leading foundation phase sport specialists that teach children aged 2-10 years in age specific classes.
We are looking for a sporty, dynamic and hard working coach to join our team of 9 on a part time or full time basis. This job will entail the following:
- Teaching children life skills through sport with sports including tennis, hockey, football, rugby, basketball and many more
- Building children's resilience and confidence with our progressive Playball curriculum
- Going into schools to teach the Playball curriculum
- Writing reports for each of the children you coach
- Engaging with parents and providing feedback at the end of each session
- DBS, safeguarding & first aid certificates will be covered with us
- A driving licence and own a car, this will be for when you are running classes at different schools
Where is the job based?
As a Playball coach you will be needed at different venues across Reigate and Redhill, from schools to leisure centres and parks.
What hours would I be working?
Normal hours are +/- 35 a week, however we can be flexible to suit your needs.
While you are starting out we can offer parties almost every weekend to supplement your wage when in the training stage.
What would we offer you?
- Competitive salary
The starting rate whilst training at Playball is £12.50 per class until you are ready to run your own classes, whereby your rate will increase to £15. As soon as you become more experienced there is the possibility of earning up to £30 per class.
We will provide you with full training, uniform and all equipment. Head office requires that you attend compulsory workshops 3 times a year, typically run on a Saturday (dates provided well in advance).
- Bonuses
We award bonuses to the coaches who have performed consistently well throughout the term, educated parents on our programme and built up good relationships with the clients and not missed any lessons or had sick days. Coaches who have actively helped to build their classes by handing out flyers/vouchers to parents, schools and nurseries and who are on top of all admin responsibilities can earn an additional bonus of up to £300 per term.
- Term time working and school holidays off (if desired)
Playball operates on a termly basis, with 3 terms a year. Our term time runs according to the school year. January-March, April-July and September- December. Please note that coaches are not permitted to take holidays during term time.
- Holiday camps and birthday parties for additional money
During the half terms and holiday seasons we run holiday camps, which are usually from 9am-1pm and which pay coaches £75. Similarly, we also run children’s birthday parties, usually on a Saturday afternoon or Sunday which is a great way for the coaches to make extra money. The rate of pay for a 2 hour birthday party is £75 to run or £50 to assist.
- Opportunities for Progression
There is opportunities to manage areas and schools. Full Time coaches can earn anything from £26,000 - £30,000 per annum. Area Managers can earn up to anything from £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
