We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Plumber to support the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities. This is a rewarding opportunity where your expertise will directly contribute to creating safe and efficient environments for our patients and staff.

Salary:

£20.34 per hour

Hours:

Full-time, 08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-16:00 Friday (plus on-call rotation as required)

What You'll Do:

As a Plumber, you will: Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on mechanical systems, heating, and water plant equipment. Handle repairs, new installations, and planned maintenance with efficiency and precision. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and complete scheduled tasks. Escort contractors during inspections and installations, ensuring compliance with Trust standards. Strictly adhere to Health & Safety and Security Regulations and maintain accurate tool inventories. Contribute to a dynamic team and support the department's out-of-hours on-call system when needed.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone who is highly skilled, motivated, and ready to make a difference. You'll need: NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Services. Specialisation in mechanical services (e.g., Gas, Refrigeration, Heat Pumps). Water Safety Training certification.

Experience:

Strong background in mechanical, ventilation, or gas installations and maintenance. Experience in an NHS or healthcare environment is a bonus but not essential.

Skills and Attributes:

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills. Flexible, adaptable, and confident interacting at all levels. Computer literacy to manage maintenance records effectively.

Other Requirements:

Your own tools and PPE. A valid manual driving license. Availability to work across multiple London sites as needed.
