To be responsible for providing an excellent plumbing repairs and maintenance service to our customers, residents and staff ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards. Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue and making a repair. Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies. Fixing domestic appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers. Utilizing hand tools in fitting of valves, couplings and components for tanks, pumps or other plumbing systems. Ensuring compliance with building codes and set safety standards. Monitoring and inspecting works in progress including site audits. Overseeing internal operations whilst providing updates to Head of Place to continually improve standards and relationships across the portfolio ensuring safety of our residents and staff. To lead the delivery of our high-quality repairs and maintenance function. This role requires an excellent communicator who is able to negotiate and influence and act as the ‘go-to’ expert for all things plumbing providing advice to all of One YMCA’s internal customers. Requirements:
Housing and commercial experience essential to maintain our portfolio of properties to a high standard. Significant skill in performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies. Extensive experience in plumbing, domestic boiler/heating installations in housing and commercial properties. City & Guilds Plumbing Qualification NVQ level 2 in plumbing and heating (or equivalent).
