Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-owned builders' merchant as they open a new Tottenham store in March 2025.
As a Plumbing & Heating Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.
Requirements:
Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday to Friday, and alternate weekends. Solid understanding of plumbing materials. Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers. Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities: Assist customers with plumbing product inquiries and provide expert advice. Process orders accurately, handle invoicing, and manage payments efficiently. Replenish stock on the shop floor and participate in regular stock counts. Assist with deliveries to and from the store. Handle telephone inquiries effectively, maintaining clear communication with customers and colleagues. Respond positively and promptly to customer needs.
