To be accountable in own area of clinical responsibility, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based clinical interventions and practice for a specialist caseload. To triage, assess, diagnose, develop and implement individualised care programmes for a specialist caseload, and delegate where appropriate. To develop and maintain clinical assessment and patient management skills, working under the direction of advanced clinicians, to ensure capability to deliver all elements of the agreed service specification. To be responsible for an area of practice adopting a clinical champion role within a geographical team e.g. nail surgery, wound care, health promotion. To continue to provide support, training and advice regarding the delivery of care in partnership with patients, relatives, staff, managers, and externally with other agencies. To provide professional and clinical leadership to colleagues including clinical supervision, mentorship, and peer review within competency frameworks to minimize clinical risk.
