Reporting to the People Policy and Compliance Manager, this is a newly created post that will develop, implement, and monitor HRUC’s people policies, processes, and compliance framework across HRUC. You will ensure that HRUC’s People policies and practices fully adhere to education legislation and compliance regulations and best practices. Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop, review and update HRUC’s policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Implementing processes to monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, i.e. safeguarding, data protection, and equality laws risk. Creating a compliance monitoring system to track the completion of mandatory training programmes. Creating reports on compliance status for senior management, identifying key trends, risks, and areas requiring improvement. Being first point of contact for compliance, policy, and complaints-related queries from staff, senior management, and external bodies. We are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated individual who can demonstrate the following: At least 3 years’ experience in a compliance/regulatory related role. Track record of implementing a compliance framework and monitoring progress and communicating to internal stakeholders. The ability to understand, communicate, and implement regulations, policies, and guidance. Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, Equality and Diversity laws. Methodical and thorough approach to work and strong attention to detail. The closing date for this post may be brought forward if we receive a sufficient field of applications prior to closing date.
