The successful candidate will undertake Port Health duties and work as part of a team of Port Health Officers, Senior Port Health Technical Officers, and Official Veterinarians within the Port Health Services. Responsibilities include providing an effective, efficient, and responsive Port Health Service, using the full range of information systems available.
They will advise on and, where appropriate, take proportionate enforcement action across the full range of Port health issues, planning and undertaking inspections, other forms of intervention, and reactive casework in key areas of the current Port Health Service Business Plan.
