What the day will look like
- London Account Executive for a number of high profile clients
- Provide strategic direction for key Port & Terminal clients and wider portfolio including Marine Liability risks
- Supporting both short and longer term risk management decision making and setting strategy for the portfolio
- A Member of the Marine Executive team
- Leadership of the Ports & Terminals and Liabilities team
- Team budget responsibility
- Leading RfP response process
- Driving new business initiatives
- Develop and own the Go to Market Strategy across Ports & Terminals and Liability portfolio in conjunction with Chief Broking Officer (CBO) to deliver growth through increased premium flow and yield growth aligned to Commercial Risk regional growth plans.
- Set culture and ensure Aon clients are at the heart of business propositions and practices, and are treated fairly and ethically, in all that we do.
- Act as a spokesperson in the market for Aon in a manner wholly consistent with Aon policies, values and behaviours, not only understanding market dynamics but to look for opportunities to enhance the competitive position of Aon relative to its competitors.
- Be a broking role model for the team and ensure that the broking teams are fully equipped with the relevant skills to implement our Go To Market Strategy appropriately and kept abreast of our broking strategies.
- Drive strategy for SPS and utilisation for relevant sectors and segments where in the best interests of clients. Ensure adherence to business process when working with AUM and the SPS team.
- Monitor and manage all Aon Broking targets set through the relevant tracking tools, regularly reviewing performance to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
- Work with network on Pricing Councils to understand the profitability and margin on core accounts.
- Work collaboratively with reinsurance to ensure an Aon United and coordinated approach across (re) insurance.
- Ensure broking practices undertaken and colleague conduct is compliant with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and wholly consistent with Aon policies, values and behaviours.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.
- Leadership experience
- Strategic thinker with specialty knowledge.
- Extensive experience in leading client relationships.
- Programme design and placement for Ports & Terminals and Marine Liability risk
- In-depth understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
- Technical insurance expertise in Marine.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- High numerical proficiency.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Thorough understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulations.
