Positive Behaviour Specialist Haringey, N+ per day Long-Term Role January Start
Are you passionate about supporting children with autism, and behavioural needs? Long Term Futures is seeking a Positive Behaviour Specialist to join a dedicated team in an inclusive primary school in North London. This long-term role offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small group teaching using principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour Analysis, under the direction of the Class Teacher.
Support pupils during lessons with strategies tailored to individual behaviour plans and learning targets.
Positively and consistently manage challenging behaviour, recording incidents in line with school policies.
Supervise and assist pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Address personal care, health, and hygiene needs, keeping accurate records and liaising with the Class Teacher.
Dispense medication occasionally, following established school protocols.
Collect and analyse data to support planning and assessment in collaboration with the Class Teacher and ABA Tutor.
About You:
Proven experience working with challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or specialist setting.
Knowledge or experience in ABA and behaviour management strategies is highly desirable.
Kind, reliable, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
