We’re looking for a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Worker who won’t fall asleep on the job! Join us in this rewarding role to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (let's call them BK) and help them reach their full potential. Typical Shift Responsibilities: Support BK, who has complex needs, in enjoying outdoor activities and trips. Help BK overcome barriers and lead a fulfilling life, recognizing their strengths and abilities. Utilize the Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion. Monitor BK’s mental and physical health, identifying signs of deterioration and managing risks to their well-being. Qualifications and Experience: Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards it. Experience as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs or behaviours of distress. A patient and calm approach, adaptable to BK's needs. Experience in positive risk management ensuring safety and well-being. Ideally familiar with Makaton, but not essential. Team Environment: You’ll join Manager Lianne and a passionate team of PBS support workers and team leaders in Norfolk. Job Details: Work primarily in BK’s home to support independent living. Participate in a team rota. Utilize technology for support plans and communication. Enhanced DBS check required, which we will cover.
