Key responsibilities and accountabilities Ensure the access planning functions safely facilitate access to the Railway in accordance with NR Standards. Use of Planning software including PPS, Railhub, Ontrac, and the new Initiate system to create and deliver safe and effective plans for frontline staff. Accountable for the creation, dissemination, return, and assurance activities of safety critical paperwork associated with all safety critical rule books and standards. Act as one of SWGR’s Administrators within On-Trac. Ensure high levels of service delivery by having a clear understanding of the requirements of the job/client to supply the best available manpower. Ensure status of workforce competencies are up to date and plan any training/assessment requirement to achieve maximum utilisation of personnel. Undertake safety critical duties to ensure that we can meet and satisfy the requirements of the clients. Deputise for the Senior Frontline Services Manager as appropriate and undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge, and ability in the interests of the business. Support the Senior Frontline Services Manager and Head of Delivery to maintain and develop existing contracts and working relationships, and generate potential new business and revenue streams. Knowledge, Experience and Education Requirements Relevant Network Rail Sentinel Skills Competencies, knowledge, and experience. Impressive, demonstrable track record of skills/experience gained within a similar position in fast-paced, highly demanding, and challenging organisations. Strong understanding of Railway Operations and deconfliction. Proficient in Word, Excel, and software-based online systems such as PPS, NROL, and Rail Hub. An ability to prioritise and self-manage priorities on a daily basis. Specialised training/experience in resource management, manpower planning, SSOW Planning, business liaison, account management, and customer services. The role will be a full-time PAYE role, based in Edinburgh with full training provided. Desirable SSOW Planner. Rail Hub and PPS Planner. Driving License. PICOP or ES competence.
