The post holder will be working at the level of a newly qualified consultant with competence to deal with general medical dermatology in an unsupervised capacity, with provision of supervision for tertiary referral level specialist work. The main responsibility is to provide clinical advice and treatment within the specialty, under the leadership of senior colleagues and may require collaboration with colleagues from other specialties within the Division of Medicine and wider Trust. The post will include: out-patient clinics and on-call, including review of acute ward referrals; supervision of trainees on call and in clinic; supervision of members of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team; attendance at relevant multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings; and a regular biopsy list. Out-patient clinics will include specialist biologics clinics in psoriasis, severe eczema, and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) as well as the opportunity for severe urticaria, connective tissue disease, immunobullous, and oral medicine clinics. Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in Dermatology or eligible for specialist registration with six months of interview Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or evidence of being within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview High academic qualifications eg MSc, MD or PhD Evidence of management training and evidence of learning from it.
