About the Role
A fully funded Postdoctoral Research Assistant position is available to join a team led by Prof Susana Godinho to study how amplified centrosomes, often seen in human tumours, impact cancer evolution. This computational project will be performed in close collaboration with Prof Nicholas McGranahan (UCL Cancer), who is an expert in tumour evolution. UCL Cancer . About You We are looking for a talented and motivated scientist to join our team who has already obtained a PhD (or is close to completion) in a relevant subject. Significant research experience in bioinformatics, genomic data analyses and computational biology is essential. Fluency in one or more computational languages (e.g. R, Python) is essential. The post holder must be organised, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy being part of collaborative projects. They will need to manage their time, performance, and be able to solve complex problems. About the Institute The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. It is one of six institutes within The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD).
