Location of the Job:

East of England. Salary and Benefits Package: Paying £40,000 - £51,000 basic salary depending on experience. Company bonus. Company pension scheme. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday: 7.30am - 4.00pm. With additional overtime required during the busy harvest period. The Job Role Details: As Potato Sales Executive, you will take ownership of the potato operations within the business, focusing on driving sales, managing contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Working closely with internal teams, you will oversee the full sales process, from initial contact to delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement in profitability, quality, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: You will… Account Management : Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, becoming the face of the potato operations and a trusted representative of the brand.

Budget Management : Collaborate with the leadership team, farm manager, and agronomist to set budgets and negotiate prices for upcoming seasons.

Negotiations and Pricing : Present and negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and terms with customers to close contracts and maximise profitability. Manage ad-hoc sales for non-contract customers and the open market.

Stock Management : Work with the harvest manager and agronomist to monitor stock levels, storage, and pack-out rates to meet customer demands while optimising yield.

Product Knowledge : Stay informed on industry standards and best practices, mitigating risks in crop quality and collaborating with internal departments to drive improvements.

Collaboration : Partner with the farm manager and sales administration team to ensure smooth order fulfilment, lead process improvement projects, and leverage new technology to enhance productivity.

Reporting : Update and track sales budgets, contract plans, and crop performance, reporting findings to the management team.

Market Analysis : Monitor trends and competitor activity, providing insights to the leadership team to refine strategies.

Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications: You will have / be… Experience in sales or contract management, ideally within the agricultural / farming / food / fresh produce sectors.

Familiarity with the supermarket sector and the potato supply chain - desirable.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated, capable of working independently and within a team, with a focus on driving profit and optimising processes.

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for customer meetings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
