Reporting to the Analytics Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing and implementing business intelligence reporting solutions through Power BI. These solutions will help us step-change company-wide customer literacy. Being the internal expert in utilising Power BI, you will work with the wider analytics team to design and further build out our suite of reporting dashboards, and data models behind them, enabling us to respond quickly and knowledgeably to changes in customer behaviours and needs. With a keen eye for detail, proven data visualisation and report UX experience, you will enable business users to make critical decisions based on clear, actionable insights. This hands-on role is perfect for a candidate looking to further develop their technical BI developer capability, as well as stakeholder influencing skills, in a truly supportive and much-loved brand. This is a pivotal role which will enable the successful candidate to further develop themselves, and truly shine. What you’ll be doing

Working closely with the broader Analytics team, as well as stakeholders across the business, to understand customer reporting requirements, and translate them into technical solutions. Establishing and developing scalable data models which support our BI reporting needs. Ensure data accuracy and reliability through appropriate testing and validation. Designing the front-end user experience and visualisation which ensures the reporting is impactful, insightful and easy to understand. Provide training and support to end users of the Power BI reporting, with the support of the analytics team, to ensure reports are embedded in decision-making processes across the business. You’ll work with the wider analytics team to identify customer behaviour trends and insights through the effective use of the BI tools you build, to inform and engage teams, business wide. Be the go-to expert of Power BI, helping upskill the broader team, as necessary. Drive continuous improvement by keeping abreast of what’s going on in the broader BI industry, exploring new tools, features, and best practices. Build good working relationships with wider business teams to champion customer understanding through the reporting suite, developing a good understanding of each function’s KPIs, challenges and needs. The skills & experience that you’ll need

Desired/Required skills or experience: Strong academic background in numerate discipline (Essential) Established & extensive on experience of data modelling and transformation techniques within Power BI (Essential) Experience with Power BI dashboard development and building Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) (Essential) Proven SQL skills, with ability to build effective and efficient data models (Essential) A strong understanding of data visualisation principles, UX and governance (Strongly Preferred) Exposure to Databricks or comparable platforms (Preferred) Experience of Alteryx or similar data analytics tool (Preferred) Experience working with diverse stakeholders to gather requirements, then design, build and embed resulting BI solutions (Preferred) Familiarity with Power BI best practices around workspaces, user permissions and refresh configurations (Preferred) Personal Qualities: A problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with non-technical stakeholders of various levels of seniority Strong organisational skills, able to adapt to changing priorities and work within tight deadlines A self-starter who excels at both working alone, as well as collaboratively, with a wider team What we offer you
