Permanent | Full Time We have a fantastic opportunity for a Power Control Engineer to join our growing team to help support our Net Zero Pathway to 2030. This is a shift position working day/backshift. Shift work will be applicable once training for the position is complete. The key responsibilities for the Power Control Engineer are: Coordination of commissioning programs and operational data. Power system analysis of electricity flows. Understanding principles of real and reactive power flow, and voltage. Experience and clear understanding of a safe system of work and ensuring the provision of appropriate SCADA displays and PSS/E models prior to network changes. In real time, commissioning and switching up to 400kV. What do I need? A minimum of an HNC in electrical engineering and will ideally have experience as a senior authorised person (SAP). You will have a relevant background in electrical power system operation. Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be a team player and work well in a knowledge sharing culture. A flexible and proactive approach to work in order to achieve results and thrive under pressure. Previous experience working in a control room environment is desirable.
