Power Distribution Sales Applications Engineer

to join our UK Sales organisation. What you’ll do:

As an Application Engineer, your primary responsibility is to deliver value based technical solutions to support & drive sales growth and revenue within your sales team. You'll play a vital role in growing our business and expanding our customer base. Responsibilities: Develop understanding of the specific needs and pain points of customers (end users, consultants and installers), providing solutions on how we can uniquely address these needs with the systems/solutions available. Educate customers on the product/system portfolio, the value that each provides to the customer, principles of operation and technical requirements/considerations needed for each. Support the sales team in deriving, configuring and presenting technical system solutions to customers who may not be familiar with them. Collaborate with sales, marketing, product and other support functions to develop and influence sales strategies. Be motivated by continuous improvement and strive to constantly exceed customer expectations. Keep up to date on industry/technical trends and requirements (policy, legislation and standard) and feed back to the sales team and customers. Be data-driven, able to understand data, draw conclusions and make recommendations on how we should adapt based on what we are seeing. Create and deliver new training content. Qualifications:

HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering. Min 5 years sales experience, ideally with direct experience of LV and/or MV equipment ideally Switchboards or Switchgear. Electrical principles ideally in low voltage and/or medium voltage power distribution. Experience of working with LV or MV equipment i.e. switchboards and switchgear. Competition (product offerings and features, strengths and weaknesses, pricing strategies, and market share) would be beneficial but not critical. Relevant industry standards and regulations would be beneficial but not critical. Skills:
