Our corporate culture is characterized by equal opportunities, mutual appreciation, and respect. With us, you will develop new business models and work on technological solutions for a modern, sustainable, and future-oriented energy supply.

Your responsibilities

Our Graduate Generation Engineering scheme offers graduates the opportunity to gain

“hands on”

experience of operational power stations and gas storage facilities. The scheme is designed to help develop core skills and competence needed to establish a solid practical engineering foundation, while gaining an understanding of the safety, technical, and operational aspects of a power station or an upper tier COMAH facility.

We encourage practical learning, and you'll work closely with our experienced site engineers, learning how they think and tackle problems through

“on the job”

training covering general maintenance, outages, and projects.

We actively promote professional development and fully support all graduates on their journey toward Chartership. You'll have a sponsor, your own mentor, training opportunities, and a graduate buddy & peer group to provide help and advice along the way.

What to expect:

Up to four tailored placements across our UK power stations, gas storage facility, or within one of the central teams.

Completion of a range of engineering and industrial specific courses and first-class on-the-job training.

Ownership of developing your engineering competencies and gaining the key technical, business & personal skills and knowledge needed for your future career.

You'll need (or be expecting) at least a 2:2 (or equivalent) in any STEM subject with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or Energy related degree.

Inquisitive mind and keen interest in applying a hands-on approach to engineering.

An interest in the energy industry, including gas storage & power generation and their design, operation, maintenance, and technology.

Sharp analytical skills, a talent for thinking outside the box, and the ability to work well with others.

Be willing to experience a variety of placements across our UK assets.

At Uniper, we reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension, and health-related benefits. You can expect a supportive working culture that offers a wide range of creative and innovative ideas. We enable various flexible working arrangements, whilst also supporting with home office equipment.

Through regular training and workshops, we work towards visualising yourself in our company as if it were your own. We support you in highlighting your individual potential, achieving your personal goals, and reaching your ambitions. We invite you to become part of our diverse company with international colleagues from more than 80 countries.
