Job Description We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our engineering team, with responsibilities ranging from system requirement analysis to control system design and testing. The ideal candidate will be experienced in control system modeling, hardware specification, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of system functionality and safety. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink is required, while additional experience in microprocessor/DSP hardware, PLC/HMI programming, and system validation is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Analyse system requirements and develop control system models that align with project specifications and functional needs. Design, simulate, and optimize control systems using MATLAB/Simulink to ensure proper functionality and performance. Specify and integrate the necessary hardware and software components for control systems. Test and analyse control systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements. Develop test procedures and ensure systems function correctly under various operating conditions. Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, resolving issues efficiently to maintain system reliability. Engage in problem-solving initiatives to identify and mitigate potential system failures before they occur. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other subsystems. Qualifications / Skills Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Practical experience in control system design, modeling, and analysis using MATLAB/Simulink. Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting control systems to ensure functionality and safety. Ability to work on complex technical projects, with strong problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of control system design principles and fundamentals. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink simulation tools for system design and validation. Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement solutions effectively. Preferred Qualifications Microprocessor/DSP Hardware Implementation: Experience integrating microprocessor or DSP hardware in control systems. PLC/HMI Programming: Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming for control and automation. Test and Validation: Experience in creating and executing test protocols to validate control systems under various conditions.
