Power Systems Engineer

Power Systems Engineer focuses on providing support for projects that require specialist power systems engineering input and/or developing detailed designs for pure power systems projects.

What the role involves

• Providing support for projects that require specialist power systems engineering input and/or developing detailed designs for pure power systems projects.
• Undertaking site surveys to report on condition and suitability.
• 230V/400V/11kV electrical infrastructure design.
• Distribution substation designs (from simple single standalone to private large 11kV network).
• Integrating embedded generation projects including G99 applications and supporting studies.
• Standby generation design for resilient networks.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant technical, electrical, mechanical, maintenance, gas, plumbing, or engineering experience may be required.

• This is a permanent full-time position working 36.25 hours per week under our agile framework.

Candidate fit

• Have a Degree in Power System Engineering or related discipline and previous experience of working in an engineering environment.
• Experience of using ETAP, IPSA+, ERACS, Power Factory, Trimble, Electrical OM or similar) software.
