As an Account Director, you'll be the strategic lead for multiple client accounts, overseeing teams and managing public image and media relations. Your clients will include cutting-edge B2B tech companies, deep technology innovators, venture capital firms, and digital-first consumer brands with compelling stories to share.
You'll be responsible for developing and managing the execution of media strategies, building strong relationships with the most relevant journalists in the business and ensuring our clients receive unparalleled service and representation.

Key responsibilities:
Media relations, strategy and execution
Cultivate relationships with top-tier B2B, tech, and business journalists, as well as podcasters and newsletter authors.
Develop and lead media strategies and campaigns to promote our clients in a range of target publications.
Generate new storyline ideas/angles, media pitches and activations through creative thinking and brainstorming.
Monitor and analyse media coverage to provide clients with actionable insights and ensure campaign success.
Strategic leadership
Lead the development and execution of strategic PR campaigns for multiple B2B tech clients, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients, providing high-level counsel on media strategy, crisis communications, and thought leadership.
Create high-quality content, including press releases, thought leadership/ opinion articles and social media posts.
Ensure all content aligns with client messaging and enhances their industry positioning.
Press office management
Manage inbound media enquiries in a timely manner.
Monitor, analyse and react accordingly to media coverage and provide timely feedback and evaluation to clients.
Prepare client briefings for secured media opportunities.
Client management
Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across your client accounts, managing expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
Oversee the day-to-day account management of clients, understanding their products, goals and objectives.
Advise clients on public relations and media engagement, aligning with their business objectives.
Regularly update clients on campaign progress and provide clear, measurable reporting.
Team leadership and development
Manage, mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work.
Lead brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and identify new opportunities for clients.
Crisis communications
Develop and implement crisis communication plans and provide strategic guidance during challenging situations.
Handle reactive media inquiries and mitigate potential negative publicity effectively.
Qualifications/experience required
At least 8-10 years proven experience in PR, media relations or communications, ideally within the technology/startup/venture capital sector.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high quality content.
Strong network of media contacts within the tech, business, and B2B sectors across the UK, Europe, and/or the US.
Proven success in managing client accounts and leading PR campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
A deep understanding of the B2B tech ecosystem, including startups, scale-ups, and venture capital.
Enthusiasm for news and comprehensive understanding of the current UK/European/US tech and business media landscape.
Passion for innovation, storytelling, and delivering tangible client results.
Package:
We offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment and prioritise professional development opportunities. The salary range is £60k to £85k, depending on experience. Employees enjoy 25 days of holiday, an additional day off on their birthday, and all bank holidays. We provide a hybrid, flexible working arrangement.
