They deliver a first-class service to their clients and contribute to the sector as a whole while undertaking a variety of work types for our clients including accounts preparation, auditing services, taxation compliance, outsourcing solutions, bookkeeping, payroll, and consultancy & general advice.

Job Description The role of Accounts & Outsourcing Manager will have varied disciplines for a number of our key clients, including reviewing and preparing annual accounts, and supervising and mentoring the team members in order to meet the client’s needs. The role will also entail involvement with practice and workflow management for the wider team. We anticipate the role to be split 80% productive (working on key client portfolios) and 20% internal (managing workflow of the whole team, managing billing and work in progress, and developing the team). The ideal candidate will have an exploratory approach to working in order to identify and solve problems efficiently and be passionate about developing and supporting our people. You will be required to report to and work with a director of the service line.

Key Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of clients comprising incorporated businesses, although experience of unincorporated businesses and individuals would be advantageous. Responsibility for all compliance matters for clients – annual accounts and corporation tax returns. Personal tax planning for individuals. Responsibility for maintaining WIP and managing team KPIs. Reviewing work performed by other team members and assisting with staff training. Being the main relationship contact for clients. Promotion of the Accounts & Outsourcing team internally and externally – with clients, professional contacts, and potential clients. Planning and organising workflow within the department. Identifying cross-servicing opportunities and business development. Person Requirements: ACCA or ACA fully qualified. Have solid accounting experience obtained within practice. Knowledge of accounts preparation for incorporated and unincorporated clients. Experience working with IRIS, Xero, and Sage would be preferential, but not essential. Strong management, communication, and organisational skills. Experience of managing and controlling workflows in a practice environment. Ability to confidently work alone but also be a team player. Excellent time management. Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines, and respond promptly to requests. Proficiency in Outlook and Word. Experience in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.
