About the Role The Practice Assurance Advisor role is part of a National Practice and Quality Team within the Centre for Practice Excellence responsible for supporting the Disability and Mental Health teams to deliver great services in our communities. The position works collaboratively with Client Services and other business areas to ensure a consistent, effective, and efficient approach to safeguarding and continuous quality improvement through the delivery of audit and assurance activities and practice support. This is a permanent full-time position and can be located from any one of our service footprints across the country with flexibility to work from home or one of our offices. Some travel to Life Without Barriers’ service locations will be required to support practice through engagement with frontline team members. Key Responsibilities Provide proactive advice and practice support to client services to implement legislation, standards, contracts, policy and procedure requirements and safeguarding practices. As part of a national team, undertake internal audits, assurance activities, root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes in line with identified and emerging business needs. Contribute to the process for renewing / gaining accreditation / licensing. Facilitate meetings and reflective practice processes with Client Services staff. Keep abreast of best practice and emerging trends and changes to legislative / regulatory requirements that may impact LWB’s business and quality assurance strategies. Skills & Experience Experience in working alongside and supporting operational teams to enhance practice against established standards within the human services sector. Experience with auditing and accreditation and implementing quality and continuous improvement processes. Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality work. Experience working collaboratively and developing rapport with operational areas, working across an organisation to assist in the implementation of organisational change. High quality communication and report writing skills. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
