(Town Hall and Civic Offices, South Shields) £48,710 pa (Inclusive of Retention Payments, Subject to Review March 2028) This is a Temporary post for 12 months, required to cover Maternity leave. Due to the current postholder going on maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity to join South Tyneside Council for a 12 month period, working closely with the Principal Social Worker to develop practice across our social work teams, as well as supporting to embed Restorative and Relational Practice principles, working alongside Leeds City Council. The role will develop best practice guidance to reflect our practice standards and will ensure staff have access to training and ongoing continuous professional development. The role will also support the Newly Qualified Social Workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment by offering support and guidance as well as opportunities for shared learning. In addition, this role will be responsible for organising social work student placements, liaising with universities and supporting our Practice Educators.
