As the Practice Director, you will be at the forefront of our practice’s success, responsible for overseeing financial performance, driving business development, and ensuring the highest standards of care and service. You will work closely with our clinical leadership and support teams, guiding the practice toward continued growth and excellence. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Take ownership of the practice’s financial performance, ensuring achievement of EBITDA targets as outlined in the Practice Budget and Business Plan. Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including HR, health and safety, GDPR, financial, and security protocols. Marketing and Business Development:

Develop and execute a marketing plan, monitor its results, and work with the leadership team to plan and promote practice events such as Pet Health Plan promotions, client educational evenings, and open days. Team Leadership and HR:

Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to all employees, ensuring regular appraisals and maintaining a positive, supportive workplace culture. Collaborate with our Talent Team on recruitment, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Culture and Values:

At Grove Lodge Veterinary Hospital, we believe in creating a safe and open culture for all our teams. Our hospital is staffed by a dedicated team of 17 Vets, 28 Nurses, including students, as well as a team of Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs) and a Support Team, bringing our total to approximately 75 staff members. Our team includes several Certificate Holders with expertise in Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Diagnostic Imaging. We are seeking an individual with at least five years of management experience, preferably within a commercial and service-driven environment. While experience in the veterinary industry is an advantage, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results, strong leadership and people skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week with no weekend or out-of-hours work. We are happy to consider part time or flexible working patterns for the right candidate, and you will have autonomy to manage your own schedule to ensure presence at key times and crossover with the whole team.
