Main duties of the job

As a Practice Facilitator in the Children and Young Person Emergency Department, you will play a pivotal role in promoting educational excellence and enhancing patient care. You will collaborate with ED multidisciplinary team to integrate education into the department's core philosophy. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and leading educational activities for staff, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and standards. You will actively contribute to improving patient experiences and care standards while participating in national and corporate projects aimed at driving healthcare improvement. Additionally, you will demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development, support the growth of clinical practice among colleagues, and engage as a collaborative member of the Practice Educator's Forum, sharing best practices to enhance healthcare education and delivery. Qulaification

Practice Supervisor/Assessor. Registered Children's Nurse Completion of modules at level 7 PGCE Experience

Experience as a mentor of pre and post-registration students. Clinical experience at band 6 in an acute paediatric setting Ability to teach, educate and facilitate in informal and formal situations Knowledge and understanding of relevant specialist curricula, including mentorship programme Education and Research

Demonstrates knowledge of the application of evidence-based practice. Demonstrates an understanding of the assessment process and of creating a learning environment. Developed research ability. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
