is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

GP Practice Manager

to join our dedicated team. This key role will involve supporting the Partners alongside the Business Practice Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the practice. The successful candidate will have previous NHS experience and be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Who are we? The Wilson Practice is a friendly, mutually-supportive and happy 3 Partner and twelve Associate GP Partnership covering 17,500 patients in a beautiful part of Hampshire. We have recently amended our structure in order to provide additional support for our growing practice. We are looking for a Practice Manager to support the Reception, Admin and Nursing teams along with the Line and Business Managers. Why work with us? We have a sociable inclusive team, with great spirit. We are an active training practice with Nurse Trainees, FY2s and Registrars, many of whom return post-qualification. The team is evolving and broadening to produce a sustainable, effective service for our patients and a good working environment for our staff. How we work... We run a total triage system using accurx on our Emis web clinical system. Our triage team consists of GP’s, ANP, ACPs and a Paramedic and they run our daily minor illness/triage clinics, and we have a nurse-lead Minor Injuries Service in our well-equipped Treatment Room. Our Nursing Home ward rounds are completed by a dedicated ACP and GP Partners. We have a full team of Admin staff who manage our accurx and GP admin workload. We are fully engaged with our functioning Primary Care Network, which provides Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers and MIND workers amongst others. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the Partners and Business Practice Manager to ensure smooth practice operations. Oversee the administration, staffing, and financial aspects of the practice. Coordinate and implement effective systems for patient care, appointment scheduling, and record keeping. Manage the practice's compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements. Handle patient concerns and feedback in a professional and compassionate manner. Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. Maintain a positive, productive environment for both staff and patients. Required Skills and Experience: Previous experience working in an NHS setting or a similar healthcare environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Proficient in IT systems and the use of practice management software. A positive, proactive approach to meeting deadlines and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
