You will be joining an established and highly supportive service that is committed to ensuring excellent outcomes for all our children. You will have regular supervision and support from a senior leadership team who is open to feedback.

You will be able to build effective relationships, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and work effectively as part of a supportive management team.

We are looking for an experienced manager from within Children’s Social Care or an aspiring Assistant Team Manager/Senior Practitioner, with management and supervisory experience, to join our Supporting and Strengthening Families Teams.

You will:

Manage a team of Social Workers, ASYE Social Workers, and a Senior Practitioner. Have oversight of Child in Need plans, Child Protection Plans, Cared For Children, Care Proceedings, PLO, and adoptions. Offer supervision which is reflective, nurturing, and challenging. Support development and celebrate achievement. You will be responsible for budget management.

We want a dynamic leader to drive forward the positive changes that have been made and further strengthen the service, practice, and workforce.

You will be based at the Town Hall in South Shields and work alongside 5 other Practice Managers within this service area. The team management team is stable and supportive. You will be supported by a committed Leadership Team.
