Broughty Family Healthcare103 Brown StreetBrought FerryDundee DD5 1EP Practice Nurse Vacancy We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated person to join our busy team at Broughty Family Healthcare and be part of the Nurse team dedicated to providing exceptional care whilst continuously improving patient outcomes. The practice team consists of five GP Partners, a full time Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, one Health Care Assistant and a large friendly Administrative team. We are a Vision and Docman practice, and currently developing our use of E-Consult and Medlink to enhance care provision. We are actively involved in the training of GP (General Practice) medical students. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and clinical knowledge. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of the wider clinical team. Knowledge of the Vision clinical system would be advantageous. Experience within general practice is preferred although not essential as training will be given. The post would be for a Practice Nurse providing a range of skills. 1st Level Registered Nurse/Nursing Degree NMC registered Treatment Room Duties such as Venipuncture / injections / ECG / BP Some knowledge of chronic disease management Experience in Cervical Smear taking desirable (Full training would be given to those not qualified as a Cervical Sample Taker) Experience in Chronic Disease Management, CHD-Respiratory-Diabetes Treatment of minor ailments and triage an advantage Independent Nurse Prescribing beneficial With the changing needs of general practice the successful candidate should be responsive to change and be adaptable. The particulars of the post: 16 to 20 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience and is pro-rata ranging between approx £31,000 - £41,670 pro rata (Grade 5 or 6). The position also includes NHS pension scheme and annual leave package.
