Tile House Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for a practice nurse, who will work as part of the primary healthcare team, providing personal medical services, in a holistic way, to the patients of the practice whilst upholding a very high standard of nursing care. If you are an experienced practice nurse or an experienced nurse from secondary care, with transferable skills and keen to undergo training and pursue an opportunity in primary care, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job We are looking for the applicant to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. The hours per day are negotiable but with an ideal start time of 8am and finish at 7pm.

About us Tile House Surgery is a large training practice, serving a patient population of 13,500. We pride ourselves on the level of care we provide to our patients and staff. We operate the SystmOne clinical system and have a history of high QOF achievement and a CQC rating of Good across all domains.

Person Specification Qualifications

Current NMC registration with an active PIN.

Experience

Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates or willingness to undergo training.

Evidence of clinical skills and experience, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations, and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, or willingness to undergo training.

Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives, and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.

Knowledge and experience of its application in supporting long-term conditions.

Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
