We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our established Practice Nurse Team at Riverside Medical Centre. Main duties of the job

Providing general nursing support to the GP's and Nurses at the Practice. Experience of Long-Term Condition Management would be desirable, particularly Respiratory Management. About us

We have a list size of approx. 11,500 patients. Our team includes a Nurse Manager, 3 Practice Nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistants with dedicated administrative support. We are located in the heart of Castleford and have strong links to the community while also working closely with other local practices through our Primary Care Network (PCN). We are a Safer Surgery, Veteran Friendly and hold a Good CQC rating. We are a training Practice which offers placements to GP Registrars, Medical Students and Student Nurses. Job responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our established Nursing Team at Riverside Medical Centre for 20 hours per week. Monday 11.30-6pm, Tuesday 11-6pm and Wednesday 11.30-6pm (hours are non-negotiable). Some overtime may be required to cover sickness or annual leave. The successful candidate will hold NMC registration and be a UK resident, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship. They will join our experienced team and work alongside a Nurse Manager, 4 Practice Nurses, and 2 Healthcare Assistants. The Practice has a Multi-Disciplinary team which includes: Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Paramedics, Care Co-ordinators, Health and Wellbeing Coach, all supported by an experienced administrative team. We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic, approachable, compassionate, organised, and confident to work unsupervised. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position. Duties include: Blood pressure reviews Smear tests Child immunisations ECGs Removal of sutures New patients medical Urinalysis Attend and participate in training and meetings as required Family Planning Assist with coil and minor surgery Wound care Injections and vaccinations General nursing duties as required Experience of long-term condition management, respiratory in particular, is desirable but not essential. A basic knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but full training will be given. Person Specification

Qualifications

Qualified NMC Registered Nurse Able to work in the UK without Visa Sponsorship Applicants must hold current UK professional Registration A Diploma in Long-term condition such as: Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, CVD is desirable Disclosure and Barring Service Check
