Bridge End Surgery is a practice within Chester le Street town centre. We are part of Chester le Street Primary Care Network. We serve a population of approx. 7800 patients. We have 3 GP partners, currently 3 salaried GPs but soon to be 5, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and 1 Nurse Associate within the clinical team. The Practice Nurse will work as part of the primary healthcare team, providing Personal Medical Services to the patients of the practice, enhancing and developing nursing services within the practice. The nurse will be responsible for their own personal development and education including in-service training. They will recognise and work within own competence and professional code of conduct as regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Experience
Minimum 5 years post registration experience At least 2 years recent primary care nursing experience Management of long-term conditions Involvement in implementing and using protocols and clinical guidelines Ability to work without direct supervision Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, and determine own workload priorities Ability to work under pressure Qualifications
